Realized by Andrea Botto, in memory of his grandfather, these book traces the journey of Primo Benedetti from the North of Germany to his house in Tuscany, after has been released from Nazi prison camp at the end of the Second World War, the 19th June 1945. Each images has been selected from internet by Botto, typing the name (and dates) of the cities that his grandfather passed through. Pages of historical and contemporary images are so combined with documents and letters, duplicated in scale 1:1, that has been sent to the family during the imprisonment. The final result is a sort of war’s encyclopedia full of personal documents left between his pages.
