COLLI independent art gallery is a space for contemporary art in Rome, devoted to printed matter works, bookworks, editions and multiples. The structure is divided into three main areas: the art space that hosts the exhibition programs and the project rooms, the publishing platform (practical library), a collaborative tool for publishing and co-editing research and book projects; and the bookstore, direct sale shop and bibliographical study for specialized consulting addressed to collectors, museums and archives in the field of rare and artist’s contemporary publishing. The space of the store has been designed with the practical library, a modular system and a platform to select and promote an independent distribution. The works proposed and the productions of the project-room deal with mixed media installation, multiplied art of different formats, rare and artist’s off-media publishing, work-book, poster art, network art, social photography, editions and multiples in special and limited edition. The orientation of the gallery is linked to the concept of new open collections and an accessible dimension of the art work; a democratic approach, shifted more on the cultural and transmissive value than the exclusive art market.
